[:it]Al giorno d’oggi tutti utilizzano la rete a casa ma non tutti hanno il controllo di quello che succede sulla rete.
E’ proprio per questo ultimamente sono stati introdotti sul mercato dei dispositivi creati ad-hoc.
Uno di questi è Fingbox. Fing esisteva già come applicazione ma gli sviluppatori hanno deciso di spingersi oltre e realizzare un device che, collegato al router, è in grado di monitorare in continuazione l’intera rete. Se aggiungiamo che è previsto, come annunciato sulla pagina, il rilascio di un plugin per IFTTT allora le cose si fanno veramente interessanti.
Non mi dilungo sui dettagli (che si trovano su Fingbox) ma le funzionalità le riassumo:
- Blocco di intrusi e alert per device nuovi
- Analisi di quale device in rete “consuma” più banda
- Parental control e blocco della navigazione sui device scelti
- Analisi della copertura Wi-Fi
- e molte altre cosette
A me è appena arrivato il pacchetto e quindi… ecco l’unpacking!
Il set, come potete vedere, è composto dall’unità principale, dall’alimentatore (con gli adattatori) e dal cavo di rete.
L’oggettino è molto ben rifinito, la protezione in gomma (blu) è poi un qualcosa in più che aggiunge un tocco di carattere.
Il setup è stato velocissimo: basta collegarlo al router, alimentarlo ed aspettare. Appena le luci sono verdi collegatevi con la app e seguite dei semplici passi di configurazione.
Da questo momento sarete in grado di tenere sotto controllo la rete anche da remoto.
Ecco qui un esempio di schermata da cui si può capire la semplicità di utilizzo.

One of these is Fingbox. Fing already existed as an application but developers have decided to go further and make a device that, connected to the router, is able to continuously monitor the entire network. If we add that it is anticipated, as announced on the page, to release an IFTTT plugin then things are really interesting.
I do not dwell on the details (found on Fingbox) but the features basically are:
- Intrusion block and new device alert
- Analyze which network device hogs more bandwidth
- Parental control and blocking of selected devices
- Wi-Fi coverage analysis
- and many other things
I just got the package and so … here’s the unpacking!
The set, as you can see, consists of the main unit, the power unit (with the adapters), and the network cable.
The object is very well finished, the rubber (blue) protection is then something extra that adds a touch of character.
The setup was fast: just connect it to the router, power it up and wait. As soon as the lights are green connect with the app and follow simple setup steps.
From this moment you will be able to keep the network under control even remotely.
